Two signs that you need to install a new heating system
There are several signs that might mean that it is time for you to get rid of your current heating system and have a new one installed by an HVAC contractor. Carry on reading to find out what these signs are.
You have had to have your current system fixed by an HVAC repair person multiple times in the past few months
If your current system has had to undergo repair work multiple times in the past few months, then it is probably time to locate an HVAC contractor that is available to remove this system and carry out a heating installation job.
The reason for this is as follows; whilst the quote you get from the HVAC contractor for this work might seem quite large, it is very likely to be less than the fees you have already incurred (and will continue to incur) if you keep your existing heating system.
Once a system starts to require near-constant repair work, it is safe to assume that it is edging closer to the end of its lifespan and will simply continue to deteriorate until it permanently breaks down.
If you choose to wait until this happens, not only will you end up spending increasingly large amounts of money on repairs, but you and your family may also have to deal with living in an unheated home for several days at a time when the system needs yet another repair.
Conversely, if you replace the failing heating system now and make an effort to maintain the new one that the HVAC specialist installs, you should be able to enjoy a wonderfully warm home and spare yourself the inconvenience and expense of getting the system repaired on a regular basis.

If you live in an old house that is not particularly well-insulated and which features tall ceilings and single-glazed windows, and which is, as a result of this, rather draughty and cold, then you need to have a high-quality heating system.
If your current system is rather weak and is designed for a small and well-insulated property, then you may find yourself frequently feeling chilly, even when the system has been switched on for quite a while.
If this is the case and you're frustrated by the fact that you have to employ several other measures to keep warm in the winter (such as using plug-in electric heaters and hot water bottles or wearing a coat indoors), then you may need to get a new, more powerful system fitted by an HVAC expert.
Doing this should make your draughty home feel more comfortable to live in during the colder seasons and should ensure that you do not have to layer up and huddle around an electric heater to stay warm.
